Kenneth Wayne Miller Jr.

May 19, 1966 — May 9, 2026

Kenneth Wayne Miller Jr., affectionately known to so many as Kenny, passed away on May 9, 2026, just days before his 60th birthday. He was born on May 19, 1966, in Newton, where he was raised, and later spent much of his life in Tipton, Iowa, building friendships and memories that would last a lifetime.

Kenny was preceded in death by his mother, Kathrein Holkan; his father, Kenneth Miller; and his stepfather, Jerold Holkan.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving girlfriend, Beth Thoreson; his step-mom Laura Miller, his siblings, Kathy Rudkin and Kristy (Terry) Coady, Kari Miller and Don Miller; his nephew, David (Lauren) Rudkin; and his nieces, Ashley (Kristopher) Lee, Aynn (Rian) Coady, and Ace Coady, along with many great nieces and nephews, extended family members and dear friends; all whose lives were made brighter by knowing him.

Kenny found joy in life's simple pleasures - tending to the garden, keeping up with the newest movies, and always finding another project to work on around the house. But more than anything, he loved spending time with the people he cared about. Whether sharing a laugh, lending a helping hand, or simply sitting and talking, Kenny had a way of making everyone feel like family.

He truly never met a stranger. His kindness, generous spirit, and unforgettable sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Kenny had a heart of gold and a rare gift for bringing comfort, laughter, and light into the lives of others, even on difficult days.

To know Kenny was to know loyalty, warmth, and unconditional friendship. He was deeply loved as a son, brother, uncle, partner, and friend, and the space he leaves behind can never truly be filled. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable sadness, his memory will live on in every shared story, every laugh, and every act of kindness inspired by the way he lived his life.

He will be missed more than words can express and loved always.

We will gather to celebrate Kenny's life Saturday May 23rd 2026 4pm-6pm at the Jasper County Church of Christ at 1813 1st St. N. Newton, IA, 50208.
