Kathy Lynn Beveridge "Sassy Kathy", born on November 8, 1967, peacefully departed from this world on December 27, 2023, at her home in Des Moines, IA. She was 56 years old. Kathy's life was marked by a deep connection to her family, a passion for her work, and a love for the simple joys that brought her happiness.

Born to Ted Beveridge Sr. and Vera Lloyd in Des Moines, Kathy grew up surrounded by the warmth of a loving family. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, dedication, and a zest for life that touched the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.

Kathy dedicated a significant part of her life to serving as a dispatcher for a local cab company.

At the young age of 13, Kathy began a lifelong journey with her significant other, Jim Michael, creating a bond that withstood the test of time. Their enduring love and partnership became an inspiration to all who knew them. Together, they shared the joys and challenges of life, forming a foundation of love that remains unbroken.

Kathy's adventurous spirit found expression in her love for riding motorcycles, a passion that brought her a sense of freedom and exhilaration. In addition to her love for motorcycles, Kathy was known for her caring heart and dedication to animal welfare. She ran a feral cat program, tirelessly working to provide a better life for these often-overlooked creatures. Her commitment to making a difference in the lives of animals exemplified her kindness and compassion.

One of Kathy's greatest joys was attending concerts, where she immersed herself in the magic of live music, creating memories that will be treasured by those who had the privilege of sharing those moments with her.

Kathy leaves behind a void that can never be filled, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her love, kindness, and infectious spirit. She is survived by Jim Michael; daughter, Amanda Michael (Jonathan Howe); son, James Dean Michael; granddaughter, Candice Kain; siblings, Ted Beveridge & Pam Beveridge; half-brothers, Brandon & Adam Beveridge.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
