Kathleen Anne Davenport

Kathleen Anne Davenport (née Doyle), 67, of Des Moines, passed away on January 25, 2026, at Azria Health Park Place. Born in Des Moines, IA, she was the daughter of Mary Lee (Wright) and John Edward Doyle.

Kathleen worked in various office support positions and excelled at providing in-home health assistance to the infirm and convalescing throughout the metro area. For most of her life, she was a caregiver to many, especially to her late parents, with whom she shared a robust and enduring relationship. Kathleen found joy in caring for medically complicated pets (mostly chihuahuas), listening to good music, and spending time outdoors in the sun. Those who knew her will best remember her kindness, her compassion, and her gentle sense of humor.

For the last several years, she was lovingly tended to by her brothers, Kevin (Barb) Doyle and Danny (David) Doyle. She is also survived by her nephews, Timmy (Heather) Doyle, Kelly Doyle, and James Doyle; her son, Micheal (Renèe) Davenport; her grandson, Forrest John Davenport; and many extended family members and friends. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, her eldest brother, Tim, and many other loved ones.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa or the Young Women's Resource Center.
