Karen Webber

Karen Ann (VanHoutte) Webber, 70, passed away at Via of Carlisle on September 30, 2024.

Karen grew up in Moline, IL. She later moved to Champaign, Illinois, where she met and married her husband, Joe Webber, August 28, 1981. They moved to Houston, Texas the same year. Karen had two sons, Jeff Foster and Kelly Kammeyer. Kelly died of an aneurism at 18. Three years later her husband, Joe passed away and Karen then moved to Des Moines, Iowa to be closer her son, Jeff. Karen retired from Prairie Meadows. Anyone that knew Karen would say she was a Ray of Sunshine. She would open up and talk to anyone. Karen was a kind soul with a big heart.

Karen is now at peace with her parents, Frank and Jane VanHoutte; sister, Susie; husband, Joe and son, Kelly. She is survived by her brothers, Mike and FrankieVanHoutte, son Jeff (Stacey), stepdaughter Carolyn, stepson, Joe (Lynn), stepson Jack (Terry), 17 grandchildren an 26 great grandchildren. Not to mention numerous extended family and friends.
