Julie Jean (Olander) Spratt passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Iowa University Hospital in Iowa City Iowa.
Julie is survived by her husband, James "Jim" Spratt; her children Danielle Houghton, Michelle and Anthony Alexander, Jonathan Houghton and Kristen Kilts; 9 grandchildren, Lacy, Rajana, Emma, Ryder, Jackson, Lucy, Ashlyn, Conner and Elijah on the way; brother, Dan Olander; sister, Sue Olander; 4 nephews, Tyler and Scott Smith, Josh and Jeremy Olander; and 1 niece, Jessy Hammer.
She was preceded in death her mother, Opal Jean (Headrick) Olander
There will be a Celebration of her Life on August 8, 2026, at 3pm, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 6567 Bloomfield Rd., Des Moines, IA, 50320. Please do not arrive early; the family will be using the hour before as private time.
