Julie Olive

Julie Olive, 50, of Ankeny, Iowa was born June 12, 1974, the daughter of Lynn and Kermit Olive. She departed this life suddenly in July 2024.

Julie was born and raised in Lee's Summit, Missouri. She was a 1992 graduate of Lee's Summit High School where she was a member of the marching band and an honor roll student. She went on to attend Drake University where she studied education and obtained her bachelor's and master's degrees. She pursued a career in elementary education and special education, working in the Des Moines, Iowa area for many years. Julie dedicated time later in her career to studying Neuropsychology and autism. Julie was passionate about her studies and students alike.

Julie enjoyed spending time with family and friends and always had a story to tell. She was adventurous and loved to travel. She was an avid sports fan and loved to share memories of watching the Royals with her mother and cheering on the Chiefs.

Julie was preceded in death by her mother, Lynn Olive.

Julie is survived by her father, Kermit Olive of Kansas City, MO; sister Melissa (Tony) Ross of Pleasant Hill, MO; nephew Dylan Ross and fiancée Tori Conkle of Kansas City, MO; niece Taylor Ross of Columbia; other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be at 11A.M. on August 10, 2024 at the Historical Lee's Summit Cemetery.
