Judy Dixon

March 28, 1949 — October 26, 2025

Judy K. Dixon, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, October 26,2025

Judy's greatest joy came from her family. She loved watching her grandchildren grow - cheering them on at ballgames, school events, and milestones of all kinds. The highlight of each year was the annual trek to the Iowa State Fair to update her photo button collection. Seeing them begin families of their own filled her with pride and happiness, knowing her love and legacy would continue through them.

Judy was happiest with her hands in the dirt, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, or adding new touches to her whimsical fairy gardens. Every bloom and every decoration reflected her creative spirit and her love for nature's beauty.

Judy had a gift for making the holidays magical. From festive decorations to thoughtful touches around her home, she made sure each season was celebrated in a special way that brought joy to everyone.

In her younger years, she enjoyed playing pool and never turned down a friendly game. She also shared a lifelong love of fishing with her husband - peaceful days spent on the water were among their happiest times together.

She leaves a legacy of love, laughter and countless cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

Judy is survived by her devoted husband, David Dixon; four children and their spouses: Cyndi Magnani (Todd), Jonnie Bidwell, and Steve Bidwell (Tonya), Monet Lambert; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Roxanne Werner and Becky Hudson, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert L. Overton (Betty) and Rojean L. Dawson (Bob); two sisters Robin and Karen; and two brothers, Bobby and Fred.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL), an organization close to her heart.
