Joshua Scott Reinert

Joshua Scott Reinert, 37, of Lake City, Iowa, passed away on May 17, 2026, at his residence.

Josh was born on April 21, 1989, in Cherokee, Iowa. He was a hardworking and talented man who enjoyed learning new things. He worked as a mechanic in maintenance and was known for his ability to work with his hands and solve problems. He took pride in helping others and being the go-to fix it guy.

Outside of work, Josh loved all things outdoors, video games, fantasy, sci-fi, reading, cooking and tinkering. He had a curious spirit and was often fixing something or exploring nature. Josh had a caring heart that will be cherished and deeply missed. May his spirit be free to soar without limitation.

He is survived by his son, Jameson Reinert; his father, Scott (Jackie) Reinert ; his siblings, Cody (Kim) Reinert, Paige (Nathan) Reinert and Alissa (Josh) Miller.

He is preceded in death by his mother Carma, maternal and paternal grandparents.
