Johnny Micheal Edmonds Sr

Johnny Edmonds Sr., 76, of Des Moines, IA, better known as Mikey, passed away on August 17, 2026 at his home in Des Moines, Iowa.

Johnny was born on May 31, 1950, in Perry, Iowa. In 1969 he met Linda K. Hurt and they wed and went on to have three children, Johnelle Bradley, Johnny Michael Edmonds Jr. (Mike), and Joseph Demon Edmonds. Johnny also has a daughter, Yolanda Osborn.

Johnny spent his time fishing, hunting, watching Cowboy shows, singing and dancing to James Brown, scratching lottery tickets, drinking Pepsi and Ensure.

Johnny is survived by, his wife, Linda K. Edmonds, his two sons, Johnny Michael Edmonds Jr. (Mike) and Joseph Demon Edmonds, His daughters, Johnelle Bradley and Yolanda Osborn, and a grandson, Dacian Michael Edmonds, a multitude of nieces and nephews. His brother Terry Edmonds, sisters, Claudette D. Edmonds, and Teresa Lynn Dixon. He was proceeded in death by his parents; Maude Hanna Madeline Edmonds/Clyde George Edmonds, sisters Kathleen Buckner, Charlene Burrell, Nadine Cole, his brothers; Clyde Edmonds, Robert (Timothy) Edmonds, and William (Billy) Dixon.
