Jenny Angelina Perez

Jenny Angelina Perez, 76, peacefully left this world on Monday, March 11, 2024, in the comfort of her home surrounded by family and friends.

She was born December 5, 1947, in West Des Moines, IA to Frank Sr. and Frances (Kika) Perez.

She will be remembered as an amazing sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Jenny enjoyed dancing, bubble gum, word searches, soap operas, and supporting all of her family's activities. As a lifelong resident of Valley Junction, Jenny provided childcare for generations of family and friends. She also provided at-home end-of-life care for both of her parents before they each passed. Jenny was an avid fan of the Valley Tigers, UNI Panthers, LA Dodgers, and the Iowa Hawkeyes. She will be remembered for her contagious laugh, sense of humor, and knowledge of family and neighborhood events. She was known as a "grandma" to everyone who knew her.

Jenny is survived by her children, Brian (Karrie), Theresa, and Jenna; three brothers Frank (Sandy) Perez Jr., Raymond Perez, and Trino (Barb) Perez; sister Lonnie Pinkerton; grandchildren Jamie (Donald) Thompson, Crystal (Greg) Holsapple, Bella Perez and Emalee Devore; great-grandchildren Cady, Delaney, Harper, Jaxson; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

She is proceeded in death by her life partner Albert (Butch) Galvan, her parents Frank Sr. and Frances Perez, siblings Rita Davey and Joe Perez, and nephews Frank (Paco) Perez III and Scott Perez Sr.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later time.
