Jennifer "Jen" Ann Dooley

Jennifer Ann "Jen" Dooley, aged 34, of Ames, Iowa, passed away on August 14, 2024. A celebration will be held 11:00 am September 6, 2024 at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Ames.

Born in Ames on July 5, 1990, she was a lifelong resident and a beacon of kindness and generosity in her community.

Jen graduated from Ames High School in 2009 and furthered her education at Des Moines Area Community College. She dedicated over 18 years of her career to McDonald's, where she was known for her caring nature and commitment.

She was a proud and loving mother, survived by her son, Chance. Her family was her world, including her father Tom Dooley, mother Terri Bogenrief, stepfather Matt Bogenrief, brother Aaron (and his wife Christa), stepbrothers Stephen Miller,Steven Bogenrief, Andrew Bogenrief, brothers Jason, Hunter, and Michael Bogenrief, sisters Jodi Dooley, Allison Dooley, Emma Bogenrief, Ava Bogenrief, and stepsister Mandy Houghton (and her husband Alex),Grandparents Dick and Letha DeMoss, Her extended family included numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews who will miss her deeply.

Jen was preceded in death by her daughter Isabella; her stepmother, Julie Dooley; her great-grandparents Lucy, Orene, and David; grandparents Harvey and Phyllis Bogenrief; Larry Osmundson and her uncle Jeff.

An avid lover of the outdoors, Jen enjoyed spending quality time with her son and her animals, embracing every moment with family and friends. Her generous spirit and caring nature were evident to all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Simplify Cremations & Funerals in Des Moines, Iowa, is assisting the family with arrangements. Jen's memory will be cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing her, as her legacy of love and generosity continues to inspire.
