Jeffrey Shane Rosewall

Jeffrey "Shane" Rosewall, known affectionately as Vern, passed away peacefully at his home on July 5, 2024, in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 69. Born on January 22, 1955, in Ruthven, IA to parents Vergene & Norma Rosewall. Shane graduated from Urbandale High School, where he formed many lifelong friendships. Shane was a cherished member of the community, known for his kind-hearted, funny, and laid-back personality. A hardworking individual, he dedicated over 30 years of his life to Sheet Metal Workers Local 45. Shane was a true outdoorsman who found joy in hunting, fishing, and camping. His love for road trips, motorcycles, gardening, cooking, and watching hummingbirds brought immense joy to his life and those around him. His true love was for his family who he loved to be surrounded by. He is survived by his partner of 18 years Tina Rosewall; children, Michael [wife: Kathleen] and William Rosewall; siblings, Sam Rosewall, Lori Rosewall, and Kathy Evans; grandchildren, Lexi, Hailey, Hunter, Brooklyn, Caleb, and Bentley; and great-grandchildren, Kaelynn, Lucas, Kyler, and Elijah. Many nieces & nephews. Shane was preceded in death by his parents, Vergene and Norma Rosewall. Simplify Cremations & Funerals in Des Moines, IA, is assisting the family with arrangements. A private family viewing will take place, followed by a cremation. A celebration of Shane's life will be held in Hartford, IA, and his ashes will be interred in Ruthven, IA, ensuring that he rests in his place of birth, close to his roots and heart.
