Janet Gargala

Janet Rose Gargala, 61, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, in Des Moines, Iowa. Born on July 1, 1964, to Alvin and Edna in Des Moines.

Janet is survived by her children, Nick Frye and Sean and wife, Heather Pfeiffer; her grandchildren, Neveah Pfeiffer and Kana Pfeiffer; and her siblings, Jeannie Joiner, Susan Kyle, and Gus Schories. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Doris Faux; her brother, Jeff Schories; and her beloved aunt, Peg Hoffman. She is also survived by her cats, who she loved dearly, Itty Bitty, Wee Wee and Shadow.

Janet had a vibrant spirit and a generous heart. She found joy in traveling, crafting, cooking, and collecting butterflies-each hobby a reflection of her creativity and curiosity. She had the biggest heart and cared deeply for everyone around her.

A celebration of Janet's life will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, December 19, 2025 at Well Church.
