James (Jim) Russell Beckler, 66, of Carlisle, Iowa, passed away on August 18, 2026, at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. He was born on September 4, 1959, in Olivia, Minnesota, and graduated from Granite Falls High School.
Jim proudly served his country for four years in the Minnesota National Guard. Following his military service, he built a life characterized by hard work and a willingness to tackle just about anything. He worked for Imperial RV for 13 years before retiring. A true jack of all trades, Jim enjoyed working with his hands and always seemed to have a project underway. He had a special interest in cars and found satisfaction in fixing, building, and figuring things out. His ability to take on a variety of projects was a reflection of his resourceful and hardworking nature.
Jim is survived by his children, Chad(Denaye)Beckler, Danielle(Mel)Rinner, Jamie Shockley and Tyler(Jillian)Beckler; his grandchildren, Barrett, Owen, Madelyn, Alana and Anaya; and his siblings, Charlene, Greg, Galen, Annette, Sue, and Scott.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Dora Beckler and his brother, Dwayne.
Jim will be remembered for his service to his country, his hardworking hands, his love of cars, and his ability to take on nearly any project that came his way. Most importantly, his memory will live on through his children, grandchildren, siblings, and all those who knew and loved him.
Jim will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. There will be no service at this time.
