Jacqueline Ann Patterson

August 4, 1931 — June 4, 2023

Jacqueline Ann Patterson, 91, daughter of Rudolph & Ada (Flockhart) Johnson, was born August 4, 1931 in Boone, Iowa. She passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023 at MorningStar Senior Living Center in West Des Moines, IA. She graduated from Boone High School in 1949. She married Dennis Patterson on December 31, 1978.

Jackie's life was a testament to the pursuit of adventure, fueled by a love for bowling whether it was a league match or a casual gathering with friends, camping, bridge club, traveling and the thrill of embarking on exciting cruises. She was a true water enthusiast, who embraced life with a deep love for swimming, boating and the beauty of Lake Panora. Her passion for the water was unmatched. With a cherished house on the shores of Lake Panora, Jackie's connection to the water was a constant source of happiness, but it was on the dance floor where Jackie truly came alive. Dancing was her and Denny's passion. They went out dancing every Sunday at Lake Robins Ball Room.

She is survived by her children, Connie (Jim) Mahony of West Des Moines, Rene (Keith) Atkins of Dubuque, Rob Reed of Newton, Sherri (Bill) Lage of Brighton, MN, David (Kim) Patterson of Guthrie Center, IA, Doug (Nicki) Patterson of St. Louis Park, MN; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Dennis "Denny", children Gary Reed of Des Moines, Linda Mills of Houston, TX and brother Kenneth Johnson.

Rest in peace, dear Jackie. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a beacon of light on life's grand adventure.
