Ignacio Ortega-Aguayo

Ignacio Ortega-Aguayo, aged 55, passed away on November 14, 2024, in Des Moines, Iowa. Born on July 31, 1969, Ignacio was known for his hardworking nature, deep love for his family, lifelong commitment to serving others, and continuous learning. Ignacio pursued his education in the medical field, earning his qualifications as a Medical Assistant from DMACC and an Associate's degree as a Certified Medical Assistant from Vatterott College. He dedicated several years to healthcare, working as a Medical Assistant at Primary Health Care. Later, he transitioned to the financial sector, where he served as a Retirement Specialist at Principal Financial Group and in Financial Customer Service at Athene. Apart from his professional life, Ignacio was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where he also found a community of faith and fellowship. In his free time, he enjoyed watching movies, working on and repairing cars, building various projects, and spending time in nature. He cherished moments spent with his family above all. Ignacio is survived by his wife, Narcisa Aguayo; his sons, Emmanuel, Federico, and Adrian Ortega; and his daughters, Cynthia and Yuridia Ortega.

A visitation will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3301 Ashworth Rd, West Des Moines, IA 50266, on Thursday, November 21st, 2024, from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm, followed by a memorial service from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Ignacio Ortega-Aguayo will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his career, and his faith. His legacy of kindness and service will continue to inspire those who knew him.
