Heather Gail Hill

Heather Gail Hill, age 40, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away at her home on June 21, 2026.

Heather was born on May 16, 1986, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, to Leslie and Lee (Schroeder) Hill. She grew up in Des Moines and graduated from East High School, where she formed many friendships and memories that stayed with her throughout her life.

Heather enjoyed many of life's simple pleasures. She loved shopping, dining out, and traveling to new places. She also enjoyed playing games and spending time with family and friends. One of Heather's greatest passions was Alice in Wonderland, and she especially adored the Cheshire Cat. Her love for the whimsical character was so great that she proudly had a Cheshire Cat tattoo on her arm, a reflection of her unique personality and playful nature.

Heather is survived by her father, Leslie Hill; his wife, Tammy; and their daughter, Jaycee; her mother, Lee Page and husband Doug; her brother, Leslie Hill Jr. and his wife, Nicole, and their children, Wesley and Bodie; her sister, Amber Hill and her children, Logan, David, Emmett, and Violet; her dear friends, Cathy and Agayi; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jim and Brenda Snyder.

Heather's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though she left this world far too soon, the laughter, love, and special moments she shared with family and friends will never be forgotten.
