Harold Evans Todd

May 16, 1950 — March 9, 2026

Harold Evans Todd was born on May 16, 1950, at Weldon Clinic in Des Moines, Iowa, to Pauline (Taylor‑Powell) and N.S. Todd. As a child, he developed a deep love for collecting antiques and had a lifelong fascination with muscle cars. His passions stayed with him throughout his life. Though he did not complete high school, Harold later earned his GED, an accomplishment he was proud of.

Throughout his life, Harold worked many jobs. He spent time in Colorado working as a gas station manager and later as a house builder, contributing to the construction of homes and communities. His work ethic, resourcefulness, and hands‑on skills were defining parts of who he was. Harold shared a particularly special bond with his nephew Ronnie Todd Jr., with whom he enjoyed spending meaningful time throughout the years.

Harold experienced many chapters in life, including several marriages, and was preceded in death by his longtime partner, Angel Cardines, with whom he shared a meaningful and devoted relationship. He had one son, David Todd, from his first marriage, and he embraced many stepchildren as his own: Tonja Galvin, Elaine Galvin, Anthony Bitting, Ashley Trimmer, April MacDonald, Melissa Cardines, Haley Cardines, and Marty Cardines. He also had many grandchildren and step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his siblings Norman Todd, Edward Todd, and Richard Todd, as well as by Cheryl Todd (wife of Ronnie) and William Vandermark Jr. (husband of Brenda). He is survived by his siblings Sue (Randy) Peterson, Ronnie Todd, Kitty (Mike) Butler, and Brenda Vandermark, along with his sisters‑in‑law Sandra Todd (wife of Richard) and Norma Todd (wife of Edward).

Harold is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews, including Eugine, Terry, Patrick, Chris, Robert Stephanie, Victoria, Ronnie Jr., Amanda, Shelby. He was preceded in death by Jack, Elizabeth, and Jason. Harold is also survived by many additional cousins, nieces, and nephews who will remember him with love.

Harold's family will be holding a private celebration of life to honor him.
