Born in Des Moines, IA

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved aunt Kaye who passed September 1st following a sudden and devastating tragedy. She was a beacon of warmth, kindness and unshakable love for her family.

She was a deeply cherished sister, aunt and friend whose vibrant spirit and unconditional love left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. While she did not have children of her own , she poured an abundance of her motherly love into her nieces and nephews, never missed a chance to celebrate them. Her legacy lives through her kindness and deep affection she shared so freely with them.

Her compassion extended well beyond the human world. Kaye had a deep and lifelong passion for animals. Her home was always shared with beloved pets and she treated every stray , bird and backyard creature like an honored guest. Her kindness to animals was a beautiful reflection of her gentle and nurturing soul.

Above all, Kaye cherished her family. Family gatherings without her will leave a void that can never be filled.

A celebration of life will be held October 17th. Place and time yet to be determined. Her gentle spirit extended in her love for vibrant flowers and beautiful gardens. In honor of her passions, the family requests guests wear your most stylish outfit because our aunt had abundance of style. Donations may also be made in her memory to local animal shelters/rescue.

Kaye was proceeded in death by Husband, Jon Rowat, parents George Jones Jr. & Wanda Jones, siblings, Jacque Harwood, Danny Wayne Jones, George C Jones III, Ronald Jones, James Luke Jones, Kenny Jones, Patricia Jones, Jerry Jones and survived by brother, Richard Jones (Shelly) and Lorena (Tony) DeCosta.
