George William Randell, 62, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on February 12, 2025, in Des Moines. He was born on March 23, 1962, to Walter Randell and Delores Anne Berry.
On June 11, 2000, George married the love of his life, Beverly Cornwell. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared passions.
George worked in custodial services throughout his career, with several positions requiring high security clearance, allowing him to perform services inside judicial offices and at the airport. He took great pride in his work and the trust placed in him.
A man of many talents, George enjoyed tinkering and making repairs on his vehicles and around his home. He had a deep appreciation for music, especially classic rock, and was an amateur guitarist. A devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, he cheered them on through every season. His love for history was evident in his vast knowledge and enthusiasm for learning. He also had a special admiration for eagles, collecting numerous figurines and collectibles over the years.
George will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His passion, humor, and kindness left a lasting impact on those around him.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; step-children: Jason Trimble of Des Moines, and Heather Trimble of Iowa Falls: brother, Walter "Rock" (Wanda) Randell; sister, Denise (Ed) Vandenhamil; and sister-in-law, Beverly Jean Randell.
George was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly (Don) Collins; sister, Delores Randell; and brother, Richard Randell.
