Gail Lynn Lomas

Gail Lynn Lomas, age 63, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away at her home on September 14, 2026.

Gail was born on March 29, 1963, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Kenneth and Patricia (Dawson) Howe. She graduated from East High School and went on to proudly serve her country in the United States Navy for eight years.

Following her military service, Gail dedicated many years to caring for others as a Cardiac Monitor Technician in several hospitals. Through her work, she provided compassionate care and comfort to countless people, making a difference in the lives of those she served.

On May 13, 2017, Gail was united in marriage to Dennis Lomas. She was an intelligent, generous and thoughtful woman who believed in treating others as she would want to be treated. Her kindness, compassion and willingness to do for others reflected the values she held dear and will be remembered by all who knew her.

Gail is survived by her husband, Dennis; daughter, Angela Spencer; multiple grandchildren; brother, Jack Dawson; sisters, Pamela Bullington, Toni Searcy and Sue Carlson; and multiple nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Patricia Howe; and her sister, Terri Russo.
