Eric Paul Dinges

Eric Paul Dinges, age 37, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on July 21, 2026 as the result of an accidental drowning.

Eric Dinges was born December 15,1988 in Des Moines, Iowa to Mark and Kelly

Dinges.

As a child, he traveled several times to Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South

Dakota and became very interested in Lakota traditions and culture.

He was a graduate of Roosevelt High School. As a roughrider he participated in AP

classes, marching band, and creating art. During high school he also played oboe in

the Des Moines Youth Symphony. His studies also allowed him to travel to Canada,

France and Germany.

After high school, he attended the Rhode Island School of Design. He majored in

apparel. His college experience allowed him to meet and collaborate with many

creative individuals from around the world. During this time, he also worked on

several fashion shows in New York and modeled for Love Magazine.

Upon graduation, he returned to Des Moines and participated in several Bubble Ball

Fundraisers for Child Serve and the Hairball Event for the Des Moines Art Center.

In 2017 he purchased Mina's Tailoring shop in Clive, Iowa. For ten years he made many

wonderful acquaintances.

He is preceded in death by his beloved fiancé, Katie Gallagher (July 23. 2022).

He is survived by his loving parents, Mark and Kelly Dinges, his sister and brother-in-

law, Jessi and Mike Masters and their children, Micah and Miya.

A celebration of his life will be held on December 15, 2026, at his family home at

4705 SW 15th Street from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
