Douglas Matthew Pruitt

Douglas Matthew Pruitt, 46, was born in Hayward California on Monday December 18th 1978 to Bill and Diana Pruitt. Doug left this world on Monday June 16, 2025.

Doug married Brooke Longstaff on June 18, 2005. Less than a year after their marriage, Doug was diagnosed with a high stage cancer. This sparked his interest in health care. He started by earning is EMT certificate and later on attended Southwestern Community college obtaining his LPN. Jenna Brooke was born from this union on January 9, 2010. Doug and Brooke later divorced.

Doug got married to Lindsay Pruitt August 13, 2014.. From this union Lexi Jo was born on May 21, 2013. Lindsay has a daughter Kendrick Madsen born February 3, 2011. Doug and Lindsay went their own ways in 2020 and later divorced.

Doug met Molly Jensen January of 2021 while both were working doing what they love, nursing. They have 2 children together:

Delaney Renee: born October 2, 2023

Doug got his LPN and worked as a nurse in a few different nursing facilities in SW Iowa. After his battle w cancer and all the time spent in and out of the hospital he found his calling in the nursing field.

Doug is survived by his 4 beautiful children: daughter Jenna Brooke 15, Lexi Jo 12, Wednesday Cena 3, Delaney Renee 1, his mother, Diana Day, father; Bill Pruitt, Brother; Daniel Pruitt and his family wife Michelle Pruitt and son Joseph Pruitt, sister Vanessa Pruitt and her daughter Aeralynn Brommel and half brother Benjamin Warren and his family, Wife Tiffany, daughter Eleri and son Elliot.

Doug loved all his daughters very much and the time he had with them. Whether it be going to watch them dance at their recitals to building Legos or making homemade chicken strips just to name a few things. He loved sports and could tell you almost any stat you wanted to know on the Oakland raiders, his favorite football team. He loved Star Wars and made sure to introduce it to his girls. He was always finding a new rabbit hole to go down about history or the conspiracies in this world. When Doug felt a passion for something he would put his heart and soul into it.

He was always very independent and tried his best to take care of everyone. Even as a small boy he tried his hardest to take care and protect his younger siblings as he was the oldest child.

He left this world but will always remain in all of our hearts and the faces of his beautiful daughters.
