Donald Dale McClain

Donald "Donnie" McClain passed away on July 6, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories.

Donnie enjoyed fishing, hunting, dirt track racing, and spent time as a fishing guide in Missouri. He loved watching auto racing, western movies, and listening to oldies music.

Donnie was known for lending a helping hand. Whether it was fixing something, helping with a project, or sharing advice, he was always willing to help when he could.

Those who knew Donnie will remember his sense of humor, his independent spirit, and his willingness to help others. He found joy in simple pleasures and lived life on his own terms.

He was preceded in death by his son Dale, sister Tina, father Fred Sr., and mother Elaine.

He is survived by his wife Jeanette; brother Freddy McClain; sons Richard, Donovan, and Donny; stepsons Skip and Tommy; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

Donnie's memory will live on through the stories shared, the lessons learned, and the many lives he touched throughout the years. He will be remembered and missed by those who knew him.

Celebration of Life will be held at: Fraternal Order of Eagles, 6567 Bloomfield Rd, Des Moines, IA 50320, on Sunday, July 26th 2026 from 5 PM to 8 PM.
