Diana Bucknell

Diana Lynn Bucknell (66) of Nashua Iowa died Friday, March 29, in a house fire. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Diana was born on April 4, 1957, in Charles, City Iowa to Clair and Donna Nehls of Bassett. On February 26, 1972, she was married to Dean Bucknell.

Diana was a stay at home wife and then on May 17, 1972, she became a mother to Thomas Bucknell. She loved being a mother as well as a grandmother. She also loved all animals big or small. Diana lost her husband Dean after 51 years of marriage on November 16 2023. She lived alone in the house for a short time after Dean's passing but she had her 3 cats that she loved to keep her company.

Diana will truly be missed by her family which consists of her son, Tom (Missy) Bucknell; brothers, Dave (Charlotte) Nehls, Doug Nehls, Pete Nehls; Sisters, Mary (Gary) Druehl, Karen (Bob) Roethler, Sue (Steve) Redmond, Christina (Tony) Byers, Cathy Nibaur and Theresa (David) Turpen; grandchildren, Cody, Brittany, Dillon, Alex and Abi.

She was preceded in death by both her parents, Clair and Donna Nehls; brothers, Denny and Dale Nehls.
