David Allan Wilson

David Allan Willson, 64, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away suddenly on May 21, 2026. He was born on May 9, 1962 in Des Moines to Mary (Delk) and Parker Willson.

David graduated from Hoover High School on May 18, 1981. He spent much of his life working on cars, running a lawn mowing business, and helping anyone in need of a handyman. He also earned a black belt in Taekwondo. David loved hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors.

He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Willson and Jessica Willson; six grandchildren, Kaylee, Hazel, Magnolia, David, Cody & Ben; sisters Donna (Dale) Howard and Debbie (Rick) Haeckel; nephew Justin; nieces Emily, Niki, and Megan; aunts Joyce Delk and Grace Delk; uncle James Delk; along with many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Parker Willson, and his grandparents, Charles and Bernice Delk and Viola Willson.

The family will hold a private celebration of life and want to express their thanks to all who have offered comfort, support and sympathy.
