David Vincent

On the evening of November 13 David Robert Vincent died at the age of 72.

David was born January 19, 1952 to John and Mary Vincent in Des Moines, Iowa. David attended Lincoln High School and graduated in 1970. He went on to DMACC for a year perfecting his welding skills.

June 6, 1970 David married the love of his life, Marlene.

David enjoyed working on restoring old cars with his son and close friends. He enjoyed fishing, camping, road trips and especially loved being the best Papo to his grand and great grandkids. David loved his dogs as he had many in his lifetime, Peanut and Rosie will sure miss him.

David is preceded in death by his father John,  mother Mary and brother Paul. He is survived by his wife Marlene, son Jim Bob (Kelly) Vincent, granddaughters Lola and Zoey, his daughter Valerie, granddaughter Nicole (Mikey) Jones, great grandkids, Suraiya and Khaleaf. His sisters Sheryl (Rich) Bro and Barbara (Jeff) Britian.

A celebration of life will be held at Smith Automotive 1411 NE 56th Street  Pleasant Hill, IA from 3 to 7pm Friday, November 22.

David worked for them the last 3 years and was able to restore his 1994 Ford Mustang 5.0 with their assistance. Smith Automotive became a second family for David and we are eternally grateful for that.
