David Paul Sprunger

David Paul Sprunger passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Mercy One Hospital in Des Moines. He was born on April 12, 1953 in Winterset, Iowa to Willis S and Mable Sprunger. He was a graduate of Winterset high school class of 1971. He worked as a mechanic at Lanter Courrier and at R C Automotive for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He had a special talent for being able to repair most anything that was broken and make it work again. He is survived by his longtime partner, Pat Piper, his son, Matthew, grandson, Jeremy, sisters, Juanita Ross, and Janet (Dennis) Burns, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Charlie.He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Willis C. Sprunger. David was a friend to many. He was our Partner, our Dad, our Brother, our Uncle, our Friend, and our Neighbor, and we shall forever cherish the memories we have of him.

A celebration of Dave's life will be on Sunday July 7th at noon at the Dexter American Legion hall.
