David Houghton

David Bruce Houghton was born January 29, 1964 to Verl and Sharon Houghton at McClellan Airforce base in Sacramento California.

David's family moved to Utah and settled in Salina. He graduated from North Sevier High School in 1982 and joined the Army. After his time in the army he served his country further by joining the Airforce Reserves.

As the oldest of 4 very active brothers he spent his formative years camping, fishing, hiking and hunting in the beautiful mountains of Utah and was known within his family as a great shot. During high school he spent a lot of time working on his muscle cars with his buddy Dwayne Shaw.

David started his driving career with Greyhound, working for them for several years before switching to driving semis cross country which he did for most of his adult life.

In 2005 he was blessed with a son, Brendan and on October 23, 2010 David married De'Onna Cole in Payson Utah. They stayed in Utah until 2012 when they moved to Idaho, eventually settling down in Blackfoot. David is also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

David is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, his cousin Jodi and his first wife Patsy.

He is survived by his wife De'Onna, son Brendan, his brothers, Mike (Jenett), Brian (Hattie), and Jonas (Kelly) and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will gather at a later date to have a celebration of life in David's honor.
