David Eugene Gibson Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025, at the age of 59. He was born on November 6, 1965, in Des Moines, Iowa, where he spent his life making lasting memories with those he cherished.David is survived by his devoted spouse, Edna Gibson, to whom he was married on January 14, 1984. Together, they created a home filled with love, laughter, and warmth. David was a proud father to David and Karlene Gibson Jr., Sarah and Thomas Fitzgerald, and Boy and Holly Gibson. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren, Tiffany, Elizabeth, Trinity, Alexander, Alaiah, Ali, Sean, Ella, and Micah, as well as his great-grandchild, Harper.David was known for his passion for outdoor adventures, often found camping, four-wheeling, and fishing with his family. These moments were his most cherished, as he loved creating priceless memories with his children and grandchildren. He was a hardworking forklift driver at DeeZee, where he earned respect for his dedication and commitment.He is survived by his siblings, Theresa and Jeff Link, Wayne and Janice Gibson, and Philip and Sue Gibson, as well as Faith and Tom Brown, all of whom will miss him dearly.Funeral services to honor David's life will be held on 5:00 pm August 2, 2025 at Lee Town Assembly, 2720 State Ave, Des Moines, 50317. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate the joy, laughter, and love David brought into their lives.
