David Wayne Davis

December 28, 1956 — August 8, 2024

David Wayne Davis, 67, passed away unexpectedly on August 8, 2024 at MercyOne Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, August 19, 2024 at Simplify Cremations and Funerals Chapel, 4821 SW 9th Street in Des Moines with a visitation beginning at Noon. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

David was born December 28, 1956 to William and Rosalie Davis in Des Moines. He worked as a janitor most of his life. David really loved muscle cars, as he spent the last 30 years restoring a 1979 Chevrolet El Camino. He also loved watching Pro-Wrestling on TV.

David will be greatly missed by his nephews because anytime there was a problem or if we needed anything he was always there for us. David is survived by his nephews, Mark, Terry and Anthony; his great nieces, Alexandra, Hayley and Isabella; and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bill and his sister, Debbie.
