Darrah Clarke

Darrah Lynn Oswalt, 62, of Des Moines, IA passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Mercy Hospital.

Darrah was born on May 23, 1962, to Bill and Ruth Oswalt. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1980 and later completed a Culinary Apprenticeship at Disney World in Florida.

Darrah was a strong person with a big heart.  Those that she loved, she made sure you knew it, and she was fiercely loyal and protective.  Darrah had the best sense of humor and always had a smile. She confronted life's challenges head on and never let anything steal her happiness and passion for life.  She loved animals and cherished all her pets.

The last years of her life were her happiest, as she found her soulmate, Aaron Wilcox, where she found true love and joy.  They enjoyed traveling, car races, and bicycling.

Darrah and Aaron started a food truck, Two 'Ol Chefs, together in 2021. They enjoyed working and running a business together.

Darrah is survived by Aaron Wilcox, Becky Oswalt, Nicole Oswalt Garcia and many friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, aunt, and grandparents.

As per Darrah's request, there will be no funeral or memorial service held.
