Colleen Ann Clark

Colleen Clark passed away on September 13, 2026, at the Regency in Norwalk, Iowa. She was 87 years old.

Colleen was born on August 23, 1939 in Des Moines, Iowa to Roy and Mary Shinn. She attended St. Theresa High School and graduated in 1957. She first married Dr. John P. Clark on March 23, 1960. Their one and only daughter, Tami, was born in August of that year. It was at this point that Colleen became an avid golfer. The first time she ever played, she proceeded to soundly beat not only her husband, but her brother as well. She was a natural. They eventually divorced. Her second marriage was to Dale Clark in April of 1974. They remained married until Dale's death.

Colleen enjoyed playing bridge, and spending lots of time with her daughter, Tami, who was her best friend, and her grandsons, Zac and Chris. This in turn lead to great-grandchildren whom she adored. All ten of them.

Colleen is survived by her daughter, Tami Freier (Greg); grandsons, Zac Freier (Stephanie) and Chris Freier (Morgan Walker); sister, Maxine Olson; and great-grandchildren, Imani, Asher, Nolan, Lyric, Landon, Londyn, Corah, Isaiah, Lenny and Laveah.

Colleen was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Clark; sisters, Mary Theresa Oliver and Patty Jo Davidson; and brother, Billy Shinn.
