Charles Arthur Brose

Charles Arthur Brose, 91 of Des Moines, IA., passed away Tuesday July 15th, 2025 at the VA Hospice in Des Moines. "Charlie" was born June 18th, 1934 to Louis Dwight and Leona Ursula (Deal) Brose in Des Moines, IA. He served in Korea as a U.S. Marine. Later, he was employed as a machinist at Delavan Manufacturing and then at Parr Manufacturing, prior to retiring.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Viyada, 6 sons: Jeff (PJ Brown) Knutson, Chuck (Tammy) Brose, Roger (Sherri) Brose, Mike (Kelly) Brose, Jason (Chris) Brose and Adam (Leslie) Brose. 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Sister, Nadine Miller, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Predeceasing him are his parents and brother, Richard Brose.

Military Service will be 11:00 Tuesday July 29th at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery at Van Meter, IA. 34024 Veterans Memorial Drive. Following this service will be a reception at the Phothisomphan Meditation Monastery, 2560 SE 14th St. Des Moines, IA. 50320.
