Cassandra Boles

Cassandra Catherine Boles passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025 in Des Moines surrounded by loved ones. She was born February 20, 1963 to James and Sandra (Gardner) Cavanaugh in San Antonio, Texas. She grew up in Texas with her siblings, Stephanie, Andrea, Holly, Gabby, Andrew and Karyn.

Cassandra lived many lives in her 62 years and leaves behind a shining legacy of love, devotion, determination, compassion, and courage. She mastered many trades and pursued every creative avenue she felt drawn to. She was an artist, a cook, a carpenter, and a caregiver. She fixed her own cars, wrote and illustrated books, rehabilitated injured animals, became certified in plumbing, electric and property management. She adored her 4 children and was proud of their every pursuit.

Cassandra is survived by her husband, Terry Stoner; Children, Lacey, Austin, Aubry and Lasara; Sisters, Stephanie, Andrea, Holly and Gabby; and her grandchildren, William, Alex, Raymond, Dahlia, Kara, and Trula.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Sandy Gardner and father, James Cavanaugh.

Memorial services will be held January 9, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Simplify, located at 4821 SW 9th Street, Des Moines, Iowa.
