Carroll Reins

Carroll Reins,77, of Carlisle, Iowa passed away August 30, 2025. He was born October 9, 1947 to Ora and Selma Reins.

Carroll married Julie Proctor on May 28, 1983. On October 9, 1984 Carroll received the best birthday present, his daughter, Lora. Anyone that knew Carroll knows he was an avid Hawkeye fan and that he never knew a stranger. He worked for Townsend Engineering for almost 43 years. On May 11, 2021 he was blessed with a grandson, Thomas. To Thomas, Carroll was known as Pa.

Carroll is survived by his wife of 42 years, Julie; daughter Lora (Mitch) Dingeman and grandson, Thomas. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews from Michigan, Louisiana, Florida and Iowa. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ora and Selma; brothers, Corwin and Claire; and sister-in-laws, Vonna and Mary.

A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2025 at the Hartford Sports Club, 110 W. Elm Street in Hartford, Iowa. Online condolences can be left at www.simplifyiowa.com.
