Carri Anne Harris

Carri Anne Harris, age 48, passed away on October 30, 2026, at her sister's home in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Born on March 8, 1978, in Des Moines, Iowa, Carri was the daughter of Thomas Edward and Dianna Sue (Johnston) Garner. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and built a successful career working in technical support for CenturyLink before serving as Office Manager for Metro Heating & Cooling.

A lifelong resident of Des Moines, Carri was known for her devotion to her family, friends, and career. She had a special way with children, who were naturally drawn to her kind and caring spirit. Carri's quick wit, wonderful sense of humor, and ability to make others laugh brought joy to everyone around her. Her warmth, compassion, and infectious laughter will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Carri is survived by her daughters, Ariana Harris and Nakiya Harris; her father, Thomas Edward Garner and stepmother, Jeanne Garner; her sister, Chanon Thomas; her brother, Cory Garner; her niece, Daizsa Thomas; her nephew, Trey Thomas; and great niece Rayne Rife.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dianna Sue Flaten; her grandparents, Jack and Nioma Johnston; and Ken and Mary Garner.

Carri's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
