Calista Jenea Pierce

Calista Janea Pierce, 26, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on November 12, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Born with a bright spirit and a heart full of generosity, Calista touched every life she encountered.

Calista exemplified the meaning of unconditional love when it came to family and friends. Her greatest love was her daughter, Gi'Anaa, whom she cherished endlessly. Calista's faith and determination outweighed all odds that were placed against her daughter. Protecting her fiercely and raising her to achieve what doctors deemed 'impossible'.

Known affectionately as "Auntie Pie," Calista had a gift for making people feel seen, loved, and at home. Her sense of humor, her bold personality, and her deep passion for all things Halloween-especially Michael Myers-made her one of a kind. She brought joy to every gathering, always ready to lighten the mood with a joke, a smile, or her unmissable presence.

Calista was a proud graduate of Bailey High School in Springfield and later earned her Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice. She worked hard, dreamed big, and had a natural determination that inspired those around her.

Calista also held a deep bond with her family-Dominique, Ashley, Ocean, and Kia-who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts.

Calista's memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The service for Calista Pierce will be held on Thursday, at 11:00 AM at Revival Center COGIC.
