Brian K. Ransom

Brian K. Ransom, 57, of Jefferson, died Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

There will be no formal services held.

Brian was born January 30, 1965, in Portland, OR, the son of Marvin and Ann Marie (Barber) Ransom.

He served in the United States Air Force.  Brian enjoyed sitting in his favorite chair watching NASCAR, football, basketball and baseball.  He also loved fishing, bowling and being outside in the woods.  Brian was an avid camper.  His favorite animal was the Bald Eagle.  When Brian could go camping, he enjoyed sitting by the fire and going fishing if there was a lake on the campgrounds.  While he would watch NASCAR, his favorite saying was, "Let's go racing, boys."  Brian's favorite NASCAR driver was Rusty Wallace.  His favorite NFL football team was the Seattle Seahawks.  Brian enjoyed putting together model planes and cars.  He used to love baking homemade bread, cookies and pies with his granddaughter, Serenity, and her parents, Krystal and Mike.

Survivors include his children, Krystal Miller, Kim Carver, Kelly Ransom and Ryan Ransom; his granddaughter, Serenity; his mother, Ann Marie Ransom; his siblings, Marvin Ransom and Ann Marie and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, Marvin.
