Brian Carl Denney

Brian Carl Denney, 38, of Des Moines, IA, passed away on December 8th, 2022 at home after a hard battle with congestive heart failure. Brian was the first child of Julia Stanley and Terry Denney. He was born on November 24, 1984.

Brian grew up in the Beaverdale area and attended Hoover High School. Following graduation, he went into construction and roofing. Brian eventually found his passion in the used car trade, working alongside his friend Dan and his cousin Vinny, who were his bonus brothers. Brian had a fond love for nature and enjoyed spending his days fishing with his brothers Steven and Matthew. Brian would spend summers in Waldon, Arkansas fishing the lakes and streams with his relatives who lived in the area. Brian enjoyed socializing at the local pubs with family and friends. Brian's greatest accomplishments were his two daughters Danielle and Dalaney. He would speak of them everyday, even in the absence of their presence, they were the loves of his life. The last few years had become increasingly difficult for Brian physically and the bond forged between mother and son had become unbreakable.

Brian in survived by his mother Julie Collins; father Terry Denney; and stepfather, Jason Collins; as well as siblings, Steven and Matthew Stanley, Taylor Collins and daughter, Danielle and Dalaney. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and his beloved cat Nemo.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2022 at Cutty's Club House in Grimes from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help cover funeral expenses. His heart of this world may have failed, but his spirit was stubbornly strong. Brian will be desperately missed by all those he's left behind.
