Boune T. Tong

Boune T. Tong, 93, of Des Moines, IA, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family. A visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Simplify Cremations & Funerals in Des Moines.

Boune was born on January 1, 1930 to Tong Van Quin  and Luang Thi Koung in Son La Province of North Vietnam. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Boune is survived by her son, Kouane (Thiene) Nguyen of Des Moines, two grand-daughters, Linh Phanthavong of Carlise, IA, Evonn (Todd) Dorr of Polk City, IA, four great-grandchildren, Melehna and Dylan Phanthavong; and Keegan and Zoe Dorr.
