Bobbi Krivolavy

Bobbi Kay Krivolavy (Prater) was born September 26th 1958 to Bonnie Mitchell (Paxson).

Bobbi graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1977. Bobbi had many jobs over her lifetime, her most recent career was owning a karaoke business which she enjoyed immensely before retiring. Bobbi enjoyed reading romance novels, watching shark movies, and her favorite thing to do was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bobbi passed away peacefully at her home in Des Moines, IA on May 27th 2024. She is survived by her mother Bonnie Mitchell; children Connie Hill (Joe), Charlotte Martin (Troy), Charity Krivolavy, Christianna Krivolavy (Chucky), Kaleb Krivolavy; stepchildren James Krivolavy (Shawna), Jennifer Castro (Jacinto); and daughter in love Jami McGuire (Jerry). Bobbi has 23 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, all of them were her pride and joy. Siblings, Nancy Abrams, Al Gardner, Penny Kane, and Patty Mitchell along with many nieces and nephews.

In 1986 Bobbi married Robert Krivolavy although they divorced a few years ago they remained best friends with a love and bond that could never be broken.

Bobbi is preceded in death by her stepfather Glen "Mitch" Mitchell; grandparents Max and Hazel Paxson; son Korey Krivolavy; grandson JC Hill; granddaughter Mariah Castro; and great grandson Jordan Pearson.

Over the years Bobbi had become a mother and grandmother figure to many and had wonderful friends. She will be loved and missed by everyone.

Celebration of Life will take place Saturday June 1st from 10:00am - 2:00pm at Margo Frankel State Park 6245 NW 2nd, Des Moines, IA 50313. This will take place at the shelter through the gates.
