Beverly Colleen Waters

Beverly Colleen Waters, age 93, passed away on October 10, 2026, at the Carlisle Center for Wellness and Rehab in Carlisle, Iowa.

Born in Creston, Iowa, on December 19, 1933, Colleen was the daughter of Fred Lamb and Edna Johnson. She graduated from high school and went on to work for 30 years as an X-Ray Technologist, serving patients at Iowa Lutheran Hospital and Hilltop Medical Clinic.

Beverly played basketball in high school and remained a passionate, lifelong fan of college sports. Above all, she loved and dedicated herself to supporting her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leo Dean Waters, who passed away on September 14, 2010; her children, Lea Ann Walker and Jeffrey Paul Waters; and her grandchildren, Alex Hewitt and McKenzie Waters.

Beverly is survived by her sons, John Kevin Waters and Dr. Joseph Leo Waters; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Rachel, Sam, Sierra, Hunter, Riker, and Chloe; and her great-grandchildren, River, Koa, and Phoenix.

Arrangements are being handled by Simplify Cremations & Funerals, with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.
