Beverly Jean Schoondyke

Beverly Jean Schoondyke, 84, of Norwalk, Iowa, passed away on September 9, 2026. She was born on May 27, 1942, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Jesse Palmer and Ruby Thompson.

Beverly was married to Norman Lee Schoondyke, who preceded her in death. She worked for 25 years as a baker at Perkins Restaurant before retiring.

Beverly enjoyed going to the casino, dancing, gardening, baking, and traveling.

She is survived by her daughters, Rose Schoondyke and Robin Schmarje; granddaughters, Jeanie (Kris) Robertson and Destiny Schmarje; grandson, Rodney Hill; great-grandson, Kristian Robertson; and her dog, Buddy.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Palmer and Ruby Thompson; her husband, Norman Schoondyke; her sister, Joann Martin; her brothers, Jim Palmer and Bob Palmer; and her daughter, Mitzi Bresley.

Beverly will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends and for the many memories she leaves behind.
