Bettye Louise Adams

Bettye Louise Adams, 92, passed away on April 22, 2024. Private family services will be held at a later date.  Internment will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.

Bettye was born on August 1, 1931 in Des Moines, Iowa and lovingly adopted by John and Mabel Sheets.  She graduated from East High School. Bettye married Ervin (Red) Adams on July 18, 1952.  They later divorced but remained close until Red's passing. Bettye loved taking care of and spending time with her family.

Bettye is survived by her daughters, Ginger Preston and Pam Hernandez; grandchildren, Paula (Lance) Berg, Melissa Preston and Keith Hernandez; great grandchildren, Trevor (Kayla) Heglin, Tessa Heglin, Katie Heglin, Tori Heglin, Shelby Berg, Dylan (Cathryn) Preston, Amber Newsom, David Otten and Sydnee Otten; great great grandchildren, Desmond Visto, Lila Heglin and Kaiden Heglin; and her sister, Ruth Rogers. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, John Adams and great grandchild, Josie Otten.
