Allen Richard (Dick) Ridley, 82, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on September 14, 2026, at Parkridge Specialty Care in Pleasant Hill, Iowa.
Born on July 25, 1944, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Alfred and Virginia Ridley (Zook). A lifelong resident of Des Moines, he went on to live a quiet life rooted in his home community.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Virginia; his sister, Judith Young; his nephew, Robbie Perry, and his grandson, Damian Scott.
He is survived by his sister, Marsha Mills; his nieces, and his children: Tonna Karr, Shari Ridley, Mari Ridley, Dana Gutierrez, and Rick Wyman. Dick also leaves behind a loving legacy in his surviving grandchildren-Mercedes (Edwin) Ortiz, Cody Warner, and Sara Ridley, as well as his 8 great-grandchildren:
