Thomas "Tj" Justin Koep

Thomas "TJ" Justin Koep passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023, at the age of 42.

Born on June 4, 1980, in Spokane, WA to Lisa Hill, TJ had a life full of adventure, love, and passion.

TJ grew up traveling and experiencing new places, which influenced his love for exploration and adventure. In 2010, he moved to Iowa from Reno and began a new chapter of his life. It was there that he met the love of his life, Kimberly, at a surprise birthday party on January 8, 2011. They connected instantly and began their journey together, culminating in marriage on October 13, 2012.

TJ was a devoted family man and adored his wife and son, who was born on September 24, 2013. He cherished spending time with them, creating precious memories and sharing his passions with them. TJ was an avid gamer and enjoyed World of Warcraft, Magic the Gathering, and Kryptik cards. He was also a talented DJ who loved entertaining at weddings and parties. In addition, TJ was a huge Star Wars fan.

TJ's presence was felt by everyone who knew him. His smile was infectious, and his love for life and people was immeasurable. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his legacy will live on through the memories he created with his loved ones.

TJ will be remembered as a kind, caring, and loving husband, father, son, and friend. His spirit will continue to shine on and inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

There will be a Celebration of Life Open House on Sunday, June 4, 2023 (his birthday) at the IBEW 347, 6809 SE Bellagio Ct., Ankeny from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
