Teresa Lynn Darnell, beloved mother, daughter, and friend, passed away peacefully from natural causes on September 28, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on October 8, 1965, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of William and Patricia Fisher. Teresa was a dedicated cashier at Walmart, where she became known affectionately as the "chatty Walmart lady." Her warm smile and friendly conversations brought joy to many who visited her checkout line. Beyond her work, she was a passionate reader, maintaining a remarkable 13-year streak on her Kindle, and she loved crocheting. Her creative spirit and nurturing nature extended to her family, as she raised her children-Nicolas Fisher and Sarah Darnell-with unwavering love and support. Teresa also opened her heart and home to her niece and nephew, Christina and Christopher Fisher, whom she cared for as if they were her own.With a degree in psychology and human services, Teresa dedicated part of her career to running a teen center, showing her unwavering commitment to the youth in her community. She touched the lives of many, always using her skills and compassion to uplift those around her.Teresa is survived by her son Nicolas Fisher, her daughter Sarah Darnell, and her dear niece and nephew, Christina and Christopher Fisher. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and unwavering support that will always be remembered by those who knew her.Teresa's spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
